Wedding Calligraphy

When it comes to wedding planning there are so many details to think about! On Instagram I came across Maghon from All She Wrote Notes. She is a calligrapher who runs her own small business and teaches classes on how to do calligraphy. I wish I lived closer to the Carolinas because I would love to take her class.

I love the look calligraphy has on envelopes. I want to start practicing to see if I could do it for our own invitations! It's a long shot but it would something fun to try right? I think every detail is important and it gives an extra touch of personalization.

If you are getting married or know anyone that is definitely check out her website and Etsy page!

Creating She

Surprise!

Hi y’all! I’m Caroline from Creating She and I’m taking over Tay & Co for the day! We’ve teamed up to bring you a summer collab so get excited because we’ve got a ton of awesome things in store!

I guess the best place to begin would be an introduction so that you get to know us a little better! I am a blogging, iced coffee drinking, Jack Rogers wearing Pre-Law Junior. Try saying that ten times fast. I spend my days interning in a court house, my nights sharing my life with you, and my weekends exploring my sleepy college town. I dream of surviving law school, getting an Irish Setter, and moving to the city. I’ve got big dreams with lots of room to improvise! I’ve learned that life can take you by surprise and typically it’s a lot better than you could have ever dreamed.

I’ve had my blog for 2 years but it wasn’t until recently that I committed myself to pursuing this passion for blogging. For years I have had loved sharing my outfits, my wisdom, and my life with all of my followers! College is such a fun journey and it’s my dream to take this adventure with you.
Life can be hard trying to balance college, a career, and all of these big dreams. We’re just a bunch of She’s trying to work hard and get things done. Why not do it together?

I would love for you to join the Creating She fam and keep in the loop of everything we’ve got going on! We are so excited for this collaboration and I know that you’re going to love what we’ve got planned. Taylor is such an amazing girl and if you haven’t already, you must explore and look at her beautiful life. #Goals

Keep updated daily by following us on Instagram: @Tay.andCoCreatingshe. If you have any collab posts you want to see this summer, make sure to let us know! I know I am simply beside myself I’m so excited and I hope you are too.

See ya soon!

Seersucker & Lace

I love pairing classic preppy pieces together like seersucker & lace. Especially when it's white & navy! My lace top is Lilly for Target and the seersucker wedges are Sperry's. The detailing on the top is beautiful & makes it easy to be dressed up or down. It is perfect for work or a casual weekend look. The crisp white color allows for so many accessory possibilities. I can't wait to try it with a colorful tassel necklace or Kendra earrings.

The wedges are fun because they tie around your ankle into a bow & who doesn't love a good bow? They are also a good height!  I got them a few years ago for one of our sorority recruitment rounds. We always did a nautical themed day. Obviously had to finish the look with a diet coke!

What are you favorite preppy pieces?

Monday Tumbling

One of my favorite things to do while I sit and watch my shows is scroll through Tumblr. So naturally my night tonight consists of The Bachelorette & tumbling!

I've loved Tumblr for a while. I think in some ways I like it better than Pinterest because you can customize the look. I could get lost in tumblr pictures for hours. It's also fun to look back and see what you used to be inspired by.

I go through fazes of giving my tumblr page some love. The bright pictures are also fun for phone or computer wallpapers.

Here are some of my current favs:

What inspires you?

Country Club Wedding

We picked a venue! Finally after a few weeks of searching we found a venue that we both fell in love with. Scioto Reserve Country Club is about 15 minutes away from where I grew up. Upon arrival guests will be greeted with a personalized wedding sign with our names on it.

Since we will be having our ceremony & reception in the same place I absolutely loved the outdoor space. The backdrop is a beautiful waterfall & it also overlooks the golf course. Although if it does rain (pray for me...) the indoor option is just as beautiful!

The bride & groom's rooms are to die for. The groom's room is equipped with a pool & poker table to keep the boys occupied while the girls get all dolled up. They also have my favorite & oh so fabulous chiavari chairs.

The venue also offers an in house DJ to choose from, along with various cake options. Obviously I love the monogram style!

I can't believe we are getting married next June. Stay tuned for updates!

Loving Lately

Here is a roundup of what I'm loving lately:

1. Ghost Whisperer

I forgot how much I loved this show! Jennifer Love Hewitt is absolutely stunning. I love how you have to watch the entire episode to figure out the full story. Similar to crime shows like Criminal Minds and SVU. I think that's why I love it so much!

2. Tassels

My friends and I are going to VEGAS for Memorial Day weekend! I have been obsessing over planning my outfits for the trip. I just recently ordered this bright tassel necklace that would be so fun with a black dress! Channeling my McKenna Bleu side!

3. Poshmark

Poshmark is an app where you can buy or sell clothes and accessories. You register, make a closet and can post gently wore items. Once you post an item people can either make an offer or buy it at the price posted. For example if you post something for $20, you get $16 in profit. Poshmark provides the prepaid shipping label for you to send to the customer. Once the customer receives the item they will release payment! The fun part is you can keep the cash on the app to use on other items OR you can transfer to a bank account OR get a check sent to you with no other fees taken out. I love how simple it is to buy/sell! So much more profitable than taking clothes to Plato's Closet. Definitely check it out if you haven't already!
