Some Bunny Loves You

Easter Weekend is coming up and I'm loving all the bright looks stores are showing! I pulled together some of my favorites.

T&J designs is having an Easter Flash sale with $5, $10 and $16 necklaces, bracelets and rings. The #hashtag ring is so fun!

Francesca's always has cute holiday themed gifts. I'm obsessed with the bunny coffee tumbler!

Red Dress Boutique features an entire lookbook full of endless options for Easter Sunday. I paired the pink floral skirt with a powder blue blouse from JCrew Factory. Sunnies and a fun clutch complete the outfit.

What looks are you loving for Easter?

Can't wait to spend the weekend with my family!

Home Sweet Apartment

So far we haven't done much decorating in the apartment so I ran errands all day yesterday finding items to brighten up our space!

A lot of the apartments in our complex have wreaths on their front doors. So I decided it would be fun to craft one for ours! I got all of the materials at JoAnn Fabrics, but you can get them at any craft store.

The base of the wreath is foam, and these circles come in different sizes and shapes. I picked one that was medium size. Burlap is the perfect covering, because it goes with any colored flowers and gives an outdoorsy feel. I also picked up wire cutters, greening pins, a door hook and bright fake flowers!

Step 1: Wrap the entire base with burlap using the greening pins to secure it to the foam.

Step 2: Use the wire cutters to cut the flowers and leaves you want to display on your wreath. Make sure to leave part of the stem on the flowers so you can stick them into the foam base. I just played around with the flowers and leaves until I had the design I wanted!

Step 3: Hang it up!

It is so easy to make a unique wreath for your front door, the possibilities are endless! Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Apartment Living

February has been an exciting month so far because we finally found an apartment! We have been busy these past few weeks getting adjusted to the new space.

The part I was most excited about was decorating! I've been pinning for months to find perfect ideas for the new apartment. So far we have only decorated the bathroom. When I was at Target the weekend before we moved in I saw these bright yellow towels that I fell in love with! I decorated the bathroom around them. Obviously I love nautical and all things anchored, so the navy striped shower curtain completed the look.

Hopefully we can get the rest of the apartment together soon. In the living room I really want to do a gallery wall inspired by the pictures below.  I found a really cute "and sign" canvas at Marshall's that we can start to build around. I also want to get some really fun throw pillows for the couch!

Happy Weekend!

Southern Weddings Magazine

Wedding magazines are one of the best parts about getting engaged because it's literally a whole new world of inspiration! One of my absolute favorites is the Southern Weddings magazine!

Although I'm not from the South, this magazine is exactly my style. The monograms, colors and prep all scream Taylor.. just in a wedding version. I actually stumbled upon their website before I picked up a copy. One of my favorite pages on their website was the "Engaged" tab. It takes you to so many great posts from budgeting to maid of honor duties.

They also give you an option to become a Bride Blogger! I am so excited to be part of this group and follow other women planning weddings around the same time. It's also fun to see Tay & Co featured under the June 2016 weddings!

Definitely check it out if you are looking for some preppy wedding inspiration!

Since this will mainly be a blog focused on wedding planning, I figured the perfect place to start was where it all began...our engagement!

Jonathan and I met our sophomore year of college and we were both involved in Greek Life. So when we happened to be in the same science lab class I asked him to be my partner since I had seen him at Greek events. And the rest was history!

Junior year I became sweetheart of his fraternity and was lavaliered! Lavaliering in Greek Life is when you receive your boyfriend's fraternity letters on a necklace. It basically means you are in a pretty serious relationship if they give you their letters!

Finally our senior year we graduated together from the College of Business this past May. Jonathan traveled for the next few weeks after graduation and got back to the states a few days before my 22nd Birthday. Since it was my birthday weekend, he planned a really nice dinner for us. At the end of the night he wanted to take a walk to our "spot." At school there was a little riverwalk where I was lavaliered, and we called it our spot. We used to go there a lot in college. So, after dinner we got to our spot and he proposed in the exact same place I was lavaliered!

Right after he proposed! (you can tell I was crying)

I loved how thoughtful the whole proposal was! He even quoted One Tree Hill, the episode that Lucas picks Peyton, "When all my dreams come true the one I want next to me is you." We took some pictures the day after so you could see where he proposed!

It was definitely exciting to call our family and friends, everyone was so supportive and excited! I can't wait to really dig into the wedding planning. I know it will be so much fun!

Hope everyone is having a great week!
